The PSLE results release date will only be confirmed after all the processes including marking and grading have been completed and checked. This is usually a few days before the date of release of results. The tentative period in which the date will fall on is announced in advance, to better help the candidates and their families plan their schedules.

From 2016 onwards, primary schools will issue the PSLE certificates to students together with their PSLE results. This reduces the need for parents and students to make a second trip back to the school during the December holidays to collect the PSLE certificates.

The result slip is only issued once. If you have lost your result slips, you may obtain your examination results digitally.

A student with a name containing Chinese characters will have a Hanyu Pinyin name included with his/her personal particulars by default. The student’s personal particulars are stored in a database under the Ministry of Education (MOE), and mainstream schools (i.e. primary schools, secondary schools and junior colleges) will access this database when carrying out their administrative processes. You may approach your school if you would prefer to remove your Hanyu Pinyin name. Once this has been carried out, your Hanyu Pinyin name will no longer be reflected in the result slips and certificates that are released to you, and reference will be taken to your updated particulars for all future national examinations that you take in Secondary school or Junior College.

Should the particulars reflected on the PSLE result slip and/or certificate be inaccurate, SEAB will only reprint the PSLE certificate. The result slip will not be reprinted. The request for a reprint of the certificate can be submitted through the school together with the original certificate that needs amendment(s). The school will submit the request form for certificate amendment(s) to us.

The amendment process will be carried out and completed within two weeks after the receipt of the amendment request and payment (if required by SEAB). The amended certificate will be dispatched to your school via registered post, and the school will contact you to collect the certificate.

Subjects that are ungraded are not recorded in the certificate.

If you have missed a PSLE paper of a particular subject, you will not receive any marks for that paper. 

We are unable to release the marked examination scripts for viewing as grading is confidential. In addition, the marked examination scripts can only be meaningfully interpreted by experienced markers who have undergone the required training to ensure that they have understood the mark scheme and are able to apply it accurately and fairly.

Grading for the national examinations is not based on pre-determined cut-off marks or a pre-determined percentage of candidates for certain grades. Instead, grading takes into consideration various factors such as the paper difficulty and the quality of the candidates’ work, so as to maintain standards.

If you have misplaced your PSLE certificate and require a copy for your child's Primary 1 registration, you may register using a copy of your digitised PSLE results.
