For private candidates - Release of Results

1.	Are bell curves used in grading the GCE-Level examinations? We would like to clarify that grades awarded to candidates taking the GCE N(T)-, N(A)-, O- or A-Level examinations are not based on pre-determined percentage of candidates for certain grades (i.e. bell curves). Instead, grading takes into consideration various factors such as the paper difficulty and the quality of candidates’ work, so as to maintain standards across years.
2.	When would the examination results be released ? Please refer to the list of Important Dates in our website via this link.
3.	How will I receive my examination results? All private candidates will receive their examination results by post to their locally registered address with SEAB. They can also obtain their results online via the SEAB's Candidates Portal. More details on results release can be found at our press release.
4.	I am not sure if I have a Singpass. How can I check ? Please visit the Singpass website (www.singpass.gov.sg) for details.
5.	Who is eligible for Singpass ? Please visit the Singpass website (www.singpass.gov.sg) for details.
6.	Why is a two factor authentication required to access SEAB's results release system? The Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required for all e-government transactions that display sensitive individual data or those that require high level of identity assurance. SEAB's Candidates Portal is one of the e-government services that require a 2FA login process as examination results are confidential information. Private candidates will be ensured of a better protection of personal information when using the enhanced Singpass to access the Candidates Portal.
7.	I have forgotten my Singpass account details (e.g. password). How I do check ? Please visit the Singpass website (www.singpass.gov.sg) for details.
8.	I still cannot login to SEAB's Candidates Portal and view my results even after resetting the Singpass password. What should I do? Please contact the Singpass Helpdesk at +65 6643 0555 or email support@singpass.gov.sg. You can also access the FAQs on Singpass website (www.singpass.gov.sg) for the common enquiries.
9.	The Candidates Portal does not load after I logged in with the correct credentials, even after restarting my computer. How can I login to view my results? The Candidates Portal could be experiencing a heavy traffic. Please try again 10 to 15 minutes later. If the issue persists, please submit details of the issue encountered via this online form which can also be found on the Candidates Portal.
10.	Can I retrieve my results online through my mobile device ? Yes, you can access the Candidates Portal via Singpass on your mobile device.
11.	I received an error message when I tried to view my results. For instance, "We're sorry, but you do not have access to this feature". What shall I do ? This means that access to SEAB's Candidates Portal is currently not available. If you did not manage to view your results before the deadline, please contact the Ministry of Education Customer Service Centre.
12.	I have changed my address. What do I do ? If there is a change in your address, you should update the information in the Candidates Portal by the stipulated deadline. More information on this will be emailed to private candidates.
13.	If I have not activated my Singpass/ Two-Factor Verification (2FA) for my Singpass, will I be able to view my results online? No. You will only be able to view your results online via SEAB’s Candidates Portal with your Singpass. A Two-Factor Verification (2FA) will be required to access. If you have not activated your Singpass you will have to wait about 7 working days to set up your 2FA before you can transact online. More information can be found at www.singpass.gov.sg
14.	Will I be able to activate my Singpass / Two-Factor Verification (2FA) immediately on the day of results release? No. If you have not activated your Singpass, you will have to wait about 7 working days to set up your 2FA before you can transact online. More information can be found at www.singpass.gov.sg.
